  1. Volkswagen: the truck department is expected to go public in mid 2019. According to Reuters, Volkswagen said its truck division (Traton) will be ready to go public by the end of the year and is expected to go public by mid-2019. Volkswagen's chief executive said earlier this year that the company plans to raise more than 6 billion euros (about 48.2 billion yuan) through the listing of trucks and bus subsidiaries. Volkswagen has said it is considering listing or partially listing the truck sector, but that will not happen in 2018. Volkswagen plans to integrate its German and Scandinavian divisions to build a global truck business to challenge rivals Daimler and Volvo. By listing on the stock market and increasing the possibility of new refinancing, further expansion will become easier. The issuance could also allow Volkswagen's truck and bus division to establish a strategic fund that would buy up entirely an American truck manufacturer, Airstar International, which Volkswagen already owns 16.85%.
